Overview

The function of the Parks and Recreation Commission is to engage in such activities in the fields of parks and recreation as are necessary to provide the Town Council with advice concerning immediate and long-range recreational programs and policies and to perform any other services involving recreational facilities, activities, programs, services or special events as may be assigned to the Commission by action of the Town Council.

A nature scavenger hunt is a great way to explore Tilghman Lake! Flyers (JPG) are available by the lake pavilion or go paperless and scan the QR code located on the flyer box to view the scavenger hunt.

Park Facility Rental

Interested in reserving La Plata park facilities? The Tilghman Lake Park pavilion and Wills Park's community building are available for private use. See each park's rental form below for more information. Forms and fees are submitted to La Plata Town Hall. You may also visit La Plata Town Hall to check availability, or call 301-934-8421.
