Boards & Commissions

The Town of La Plata has many boards, committees and commissions addressing various matters throughout the Town. Members are appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Town Council.

The Directory section lists the duties and responsibilities of the board, committee or commission, meeting information and the current members.

If you are interested in serving on a board, committee or commission, please apply online and contact the Mayor or any member of the Council.

Public Notice

The public is hereby notified that public notice of public meetings of the Council of the Town of La Plata and all Boards and Commissions shall be given by posting a Notice on the Town bulletin board located near the front door of the La Plata Town Hall, 305 Queen Anne Street, La Plata, Maryland, giving the time, date and place of such meetings. Reasonable advance notice will be given of such meetings. Special accommodation by request.

The bulletin board located near the front door of the La Plata Town Hall shall serve as the place of official notice of meetings of the Town Council and Boards and Commissions.

This Public Notice is given in accordance with Section 10 506(c)(3) of the State Government Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
